Following the success of our January Kickstarter event with Google and Caprice, topclick decided to host a training event based on the feedback we received. We partnered with leading analytics experts, L3 Analytics, to run two dedicated training sessions for beginners in Google Analytics, on Thursday 28th April.
Both sessions were run by L3 Analytics founder, Peter O’Neill, who has a wealth of experience and knowledge of all things data and analytics.
The training session kicked off with some of the basic and then steadily moved on to the functionality of Google Analytics. Google Analytics has mounds of data and it can be daunting to know where to start but you need to know what your business goals are and which data will help you hit these goals.
The biggest question you need to ask is what information do you need for your business? This will help you get the best value from Google Analytics. For example, if you want to increase your sales, then you’ll want to track where your sales are coming from and your best selling products. If you want to increase your exposure globally, then you’ll want to know where in the world your website is performing best.
