ppc senior account manager


Key Purpose of Job

To support the Head of PPC in strategy development and general team management. To develop and deliver campaigns for a dedicated group of PPC key clients.
 

Key Accountabilities 

• 
Manage and service a dedicated group of key PPC clients (approximately 10 clients)
​• Work with and support the Head of PPC in day-to-day line management of PPC team, including line management of Account Executives
​• Take lead in PPC knowledge transfer and client education, developing and delivering induction and training
​• Work with and support Sales team and new business development as required
​• To support development and delivery of PPC strategy deliver PPC feedback and recommendations, proposing improvements and strategies to ensure client retention and encourage business growth
​• Create case studies
 

Responsibilities

​• Manage and service a dedicated group of key PPC clients
​• Support and work with the Head of PPC on initial client introduction, ensuring a clear understanding and communication of client needs
​• Prepare for and attend initial introduction meetings as required, with appropriate follow-up
​• Develop strong client communication strategies with key clients
​• Deliver weekly, biweekly and monthly reporting and worksheets to key clients
​• Support Head of PPC with development and implementation of strategic PPC campaigns, ensuring a ROI
​• Support and educate the client in all issues relating to their campaign and ongoing PPC processes
 

Work with and support the Head of PPC in day-to-day line management of PPC team, including line management of Account Executives

​• Provide day-to-day support and direction to Account Managers and Account Executives
​• Support Account Management team with advising and coaching on problem accounts and complex PPC issues
​• Identify problem accounts and report to Head of PPC with recommendations as appropriate
​• Communicate key issues and project development, timelines and results to team and management
​• Provide line management direction to Account Executives including performance management, personal development, appraisals and objective setting
​• Deputise for Head of PPC as required
​• Work closely with PPC Head, other departments and all PPC team members to meet client goals
​• Take lead in developing PPC knowledge and educate employees and clients 
​• Develop, implement and lead on PPC induction for new staff
​• Identify PPC training and development needs, delivering or organising appropriate upskilling as required
​• Support and educate the client in all issues relating to their campaign and ongoing PPC practices
​• Proactively research PPC industry developments and best practice, implementing as appropriate
 

Work with and support Sales team and New Business Development as required

​• Support preparation for new business pitches, attend and follow-up as required
​• Work with Head of PPC to coach and advise Sales Team on PPC practices, costs and services
​• Support Head of PPC, Sales team and Account Managers to work with internal and external clients to identify opportunities to advance client campaigns
​• Support new business acquisition
​• Proactively seek and identify new business and growth opportunities in the course of other duties
 

To support development and delivery of PPC strategy, proposing and implanting proposals and improvements as agreed 

​• Work with Head of PPC and Director to develop and implement long-term organisational PPC strategy
​• Develop and implement bespoke PPC strategies for key clients
​• Monitor monthly onsite workload, ensuring accounts are optimised to deliver better PPC results
​• Analyse clients' online data to identify new opportunities
​• Manage weekly detailed analysis of client performance and present opinions plus reviews to PPC Head for potential case studies
​• Offer appropriate support and involvement in proposals and attend pitches as required
​• Stay up-to-date with PPC best practice and “Search” related progress/news, communicating these to the team
 

Experience and Qualifications
 

Essential

​• Specifically proven experience in understanding, tracking and improving leading indicators of PPC success
​• Sound understanding of PPC marketing/technical practices
​• Solid experience in utilising industry tools
​• 3 years minimum experience working in PPC management - agency side
​• Proven line management experience
​• Strong client relationship building experience with good presentation skills
​• Highly motivated and able to work independently and part of a team
​• Able to work to deadlines, prioritise and manage time across multiple clients
​• Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
​• Experience of working with key accounts and key brands
​• UK resident or work permit holder
​• Full clean drivers license
​• Fluent English speaker
​• Pitch/proposal development experience
​• Ability to proactively identify business opportunities within client target and strategies
 

Desirable

​• Educated to degree level or equivalent
​• Marketing and/or business qualification
​• Strong negotiation and problem solving skills
