Key Purpose of Job

To develop and maintain client relationships by creating and executing profitable online marketing campaigns and strategies for a dedicated group of SEO clients.
 

Key Accountabilities

• To manage and service a dedicated group of SEO clients, approximately 25 clients
• To develop and manage client communication and reporting
• Work with and support the internal team, including the Department Head, SEO Executives and Senior Account Managers
• Ensure effective management and delivery of social marketing and media activity
• To deliver SEO feedback and recommendations, proposing improvements and strategies to ensure client retention and encourage business growth
 

Responsibilities

• Manage and service a dedicated group of SEO clients
• Maintain strong relations and regular communication with the client, delivering weekly, biweekly and monthly reporting and worksheets to clients
• Work with the Head of SEO on initial client introduction, ensuring a clear understanding of client needs
•​ Prepare for and attend initial introduction meeting with appropriate follow-up
•​ To make regular client contact in the form of phone calls and face-to-face meetings
•​ Ensure effective and strategic co-ordination of agreed SEO campaigns, ensuring a ROI
•​ Support and educate the client in all issues relating to their campaign and ongoing SEO processes
•​ Managing the executives on link building and articles; from creation to PR submission, blogger outreach, community engagement and analysis
•​ Monitor and administer web analytics dashboards, reports and key reporting tools, and point out key areas of importance in accordance with client goals
 

Work with and support the SEO team, including the Department Head, SEO Executives and Senior Account Managers

•​ Identify problem accounts and report to Head of SEO with recommendations as appropriate
•​ Communication to team and management on project development, timelines, and results
•​ Manage and support the SEO Executives
•​ Supporting Senior Account Manager with SEO and departmental issues
•​ Work closely with all other team members to meet client goals
 

Ensure effective SEO management and control of social marketing and media activity

•​ Report monthly social media lists to clients
•​ Perform keyword research in coordination with client business objectives to optimise existing content and uncover new opportunities
•​ Provide SEO analysis and recommendations in coordination with elements and structure of websites and web pages
•​ Implement link building campaigns in coordination with client SEO goals
•​ Provide recommendations and execute strategies for social marketing and media development in coordination with SEO goals
•​ Research and administer social media tools in support of clients’ social media strategy
•​ Social marketing – Management of the maintenance of social lists and ensuring social media targets are met with the SEO Executive
•​ Assist in development and execution of communication/content strategies via social communities in coordination with SEO goals
•​ Monitor and evaluate search results and search performance across the major search channels
•​ Keep pace with SEO, search engine, social media and internet marketing industry trends and developments
 

Deliver SEO feedback and recommendations, proposing improvements and strategies to ensure client retention and encourage business growth

•​ Monitor monthly onsite workload, ensuring accounts are optimised to deliver better SEO results
•​ Analyse clients' online data to identify new opportunities
•​ Manage weekly, biweekly and monthly detailed analysis of client performance and present opinions plus reviews to SEO Head for potential case studies
•​ Offer appropriate support and involvement in proposals and attend pitches as required
 

Experience and Qualifications
 

Essential

•​ Good understanding of SEO marketing practices
•​ Specifically proven experience in understanding, tracking and improving leading indicators of SEO success
•​ 2 years minimum experience working in SEO management agency side
•​ Ability to look at Google Analytics’ statistics charts and comment on statistical reports to clients
•​ Strong client relationship building experience with good presentation skills
•​ Proven experience of high level client pitches through case studies
•​ Highly motivated and able to work independently and part of a team
•​ Able to work to deadlines, prioritise and manage time across multiple clients
•​ Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
•​ UK resident or work permit holder
•​ Full clean drivers licence
•​ Fluent English speaker
 

Desirable

•​ Educated to degree level or equivalent
•​ Marketing and/or business qualification
•​ Demonstrable experience in managing through Google algorithm
•​ Understanding of code language and products plus CMS platforms
•​ PHP developer skills
•​ Strong negotiation and problem solving skills
•​ Ability to proactively identify business opportunities within client target and strategies

•​ Intermediate Word, Excel and PowerPoint
•​ Adobe Acrobat
•​ Google Docs
•​ Google Analytics advance
•​ SEO Profiler or similar
•​ CMS packages - WordPress, Magenta, Opencart, Perch, Joomla etc
•​ Social networks
•​ Hootsuite
•​ CRM packages Basecamp, Teamwork, Leankit
•​ Social Networks – Facebook/Twitter/LinkedIn/Google+
