So Vintage were launching a vintage furniture hire business, primarily for weddings, and required a clear brand identity for their business venture, which would allow them to remain welcoming to clients with varied budgets. The brief was to create branding which would make vintage look cool, as opposed to stereotypically cutesy or kitsch, and thus differentiate the business from its rivals - definitively no bunting!
The branding and website feature the soft, muted tones and classic design features associated with vintage products and traditional ceremony. This understated colour palette creates a sense of sophistication and portrays a subtle, classic confidence.
As a counterpoint, the illustrations have a quirky edginess about them, combining traditional and off-the-wall sketches to add dynamism and personality to the branding. This nuanced approach creates a subtly distinctive branding, well-suited to the So Vintage product.
